hole is dug for egress window. You want to over dig to allow for rock in the bottom of the well.

This is a concrete block foundation. A single window unit will be installed once the hole is cut.

A diamond blade is used to cut the opening.

The concrete blocks are busted out from inside.

It's a back breaking job but someone has to do it.

Once the window is installed, foam insulation is filled between the window and the opening. White silicone caulk is also applied both inside and out.

The 5' deep steel well is bolted to the foundation and the dirt is filled back around the well.

The hole was dug extra deep and filled with rock so that any water will go right to the drain tile around the house. This window and opening is guaranteed not to leak.
