Storage area to be converted into a storm shelter.

The finished walls were cut down to expose the foundation walls.

The studs were cut to allow framing of the new ceiling.

The masons installing block next to the interior walls.

Installing block around new doorway.

Finished doorway opening with wood buck.

New gray steel beam is set to support concrete ceiling.

A look into basement from upstairs bedroom.

Carpet in upstairs bedroom was folded back to allow us to pull up floor for pouring concrete.

The new block is concrete filled with rebar to tie things together.

Rebar is drilled into foundation walls above angle iron.
